Chocolate Balsamic French Toast

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices brioche or thick sliced bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp J. Olive Co. Butter Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Recommended toppings: sliced bananas, whipped cream, drizzle of hazelnut spread

Chocolate Balsamic Drizzle:

  • 2 tbsp J. Olive Co. Dark Chocolate Balsamic
  • 1 tsp maple syrup

Instructions:

  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, salt, and 1 tbsp Butter Olive Oil.
  2. Soak bread slices in the mixture, coating both sides.
  3. Cook on a lightly greased skillet over medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
  4. For the drizzle, stir Dark Chocolate Balsamic with maple syrup and warm slightly in a small saucepan.
  5. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve French toast with balsamic drizzle and toppings of choice.
